Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors Play Knitting Factory's Finale

As 2008 comes to a close, downtown NYC institution the Knitting Factory is shutting the doors of its current location at 74 Leonard Street. Next year, the Knit will move to a brand new spot smack dab in the potentially more demographically-friendly climes of Brooklyn. To bid the fondest farewell they can muster, the dudes of Akron/Family have curated a little going-away party for the place on its last night, New Year's Eve.

In addition to a performance from Akron/Family, there'll be jams kicked out on all three Knitting Factory stages by the likes of Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors, Deer Tick, Megafaun, DJ Thanksgiving Brown, and "very special surprise guests."
