Frightened Rabbit Plot Christmas Single, Winter Dates
Christmastime's a tough one for the turkey and the ham; not so much for the delicious bunny. In that spirit, the gents of Frightened Rabbit are in full-on seasonal celebration mode as they prepare to release the single "It's Christmas So We'll Stop". Originally issued last year, "It's Christmas" has been fleshed out for the '08 by Frightened Rabbit's FatCat labelmate David Karsten Daniels with strings, horns, piano and a choir . It's due on 7" and download in the UK on December 15 and download December 16 in the U.S., via FatCat.
Perhaps the best endorsement for the single comes from frontman Scott Hutchison, in this quote from a press release: "I feel like I have a similar relationship with Christmas as I do with booze. Each make me feel nice in a fairly false way."
'Tis the season for travel and all that too, so Frightened Rabbit are getting back out there. They've got a few UK shows this month and a trip to Australia to close out the year, plus a full-on U.S. headlining jaunt in January.
