Possibly in an attempt to escape the drab, rainy Oregon winter and possibly so they can sample the inferior weed that the rest of the country has to offer, Blitzen Trapper will head out on tour next month. The bearded-up Oregonian twang-slingers will bring Portland-based folk singer Alela Diane along with them.

Before that jumps off, they'll play a free show on January 25 at Portland's Crystal Ballroom, celebrating the venue's 95th anniversary. Get ready for the sort of eye-bleeding excitement that comes along with the sort of band who names a song "Sleepytime in the Western World".
