Lily Allen's Talk Show Cancelled

Lily Allen's Talk Show Cancelled

It's a good thing the press is giving Lily Allen plenty of chances to talk shit, since she won't have a chance to do it on her own TV show anymore. According to NME, the BBC has canceled "Lily Allen and Friends", Allen's talk show. The BBC3's Danny Cohen told the British tabloid The Sun that "We've got a gap because we're not doing another Lily Allen show." For her part, Allen claims that she's "too busy" to do another season of the troubled show right now, though, "I loved doing the series and I’m definitely interested in discussing ideas in the future."

"Lily Allen and Friends" has had what could charitably be described as a spotty history. The whole idea of the show was that the entire studio audience would consist of Allen's online friends, but that didn't stop nearly half of the audience from reportedly walking out of the first episode's taping before the show ended. And during one taping last year, she whipped her boob out and exposed it to the audience for three full minutes. Yikes.

Capitol will release It's Not Me, It's You, Allen's second album, on February 10 in the U.S. (It's out February 9 in the UK via Regal.) First single "The Fear" will be released in the UK on January 26, backed by the exquisitely named B-sides "Fag Hag" and "Kabul Shit". She's also added a bunch of dates to her tour. At least she's keeping busy.
