Crystal Antlers Prepare Debut Album, Tour Incessantly
As the one "crystal" band who didn't make one of Pitchfork's top 50 albums of 2008 (besides the Crystal Method, that is), L.A. spazz-prog upstarts Crystal Antlers have a lot to prove, but they're not being lazy about it. Original guitarist Errol Davis has rejoined the band, jumping on board to help record Tentacles, the band's first full-length. The band recorded the follow-up to their self-titled EP over one week in San Francisco's Closer studios, and it'll be out April 7 (April 6 in Europe) on Touch & Go.
Before the album drops, Crystal Antlers have an absolutely ridiculous number of live shows coming up, including their first-ever European trip and an appearance on the Pitchfork-curated stage at Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival.
