Lift to Experience to Release 2xCD Concept LP

Those cowboys sure do love Jesus

Lift to Experience are set to release their new album, The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, on ex-Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde's Bella Union label. Already available at exorbitant import prices from the U.K., the domestic release will arrive at stores on July 31st. Band members Josh "Buck" Pearson, Josh "Bear" Browning, and Andy "The Boy" Young previously self-released an eponymous four-song EP full of their rootsy, ethereal guitar squall in 1997.

Mixing irreverent religious metaphor with dream-pop distortion and just a touch of that good ol' country swagger, the double album is, in Pearson's words, "a concept album about the end of the world where Texas is the Promised Land." Is it also the Reason? Remember emo?
