Just when you thought the damn thing was never going to materialize, K Records has finally announced a release date for the massive 7xCD Beat Happening box set. Fans of the Calvin Johnson-led threesome need only wait until October 23rd to complete their collections. Information regarding the box set is surprisingly scarce, but it will presumably include all of Beat Happening's studio albums as well as some rarities and maybe a full-color booklet with lots of pictures of the band and some clever anecdotes. That's what box sets usually include, right?

In other K Records re-release news, pop group Heavenly's long-out-of-print first album, Heavenly vs. Satan, will be re-released on August 28th. Both items will be available for pre-order on the K Records site soon.
