Morrissey to Release Second Singles Box Set

Listen closely and you can pinpoint the moment he became irrelevant
Back in the olden days, sulky, depressed, disaffected adolescents didn't turn to mask-wearing, aggressive rap-metal for solace. They turned to the weepy, hyperemotional sounds of Morrissey and his former band, the Smiths. Since Morrissey's career descended into not-so-goodness around 1993, he's released a handful of albums and singles, most of which are tolerable (at best). Despite his decline, he still has an assload of obsessive fans. And if you happen to be one of them, we're making fun of you. Sorry.

One characteristic of Morrissey fans is their obsessive completist tendencies. To sate these rabid fanatics until "The Mozzer" gets around to releasing a new full-length album, EMI is releasing a second Morrissey singles box set on September 17th. This set will contain all nine of Morrissey's British singles from 1991 to 1995, including "My Love Life," "You're the One for Me, Fatty," and "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get." Yeah, American fans are going to have to pay import prices, but they're used to it. They've paid import prices for all these singles already. That's the price of being an obsessive fan.
