Push Kings Prepare New Album

What's a push king? Are we out of the loop?

According to Darla.com, sun-drenched popsters the Push Kings will release their third LP, Feel No Fade, on the Darla-distributed Le Grand Magistery imprint. The Push Kings, not to be confused with the Push Stars, or any other band named the (something) Kings, got their start in Boston in the mid-90's. Through the magic of several singles and two full-length albums on Sealed Fate, they quickly garnered a respectable amount of buzz and favorable comparisons to classic pop bands such as the Kinks and Squeeze. Somehow (call it the Weezer phenomenon), they also managed to gain a cult following in Japan. Then, they moved to California, along with the rest of the world. Expect the pop phenomenon to begin anew August 28th.

Feel No Fade promises to be "the sweet fruit of the band's first year in L.A., full of good times and misadventures," so unless you know what that's like, prepare for some serious vicariousness. Tracks include "Summer Trippin'," and "Born Stoned," both available for download on the band's site, as well as "Rocket n' Ride," "I Hate Everyone but You," "All My Life," "The Minute," "Runnin' from Something," "Beat Girl," "ShakeItUp," "Honey Come Closer," "Hello (I Don't Even Know My Own Name)," and "Party to End." In no particular order.
