Modest Mouse Announce Fall Tour

This is a bad tagline from someone with nothing to think about
Modest Mouse will cross the United States this fall, giving mixed performances to any and all that come to bear witness to their drunken antics. The tour is fairly extensive, with twenty-seven dates already confirmed and the possibility of more to follow. The acclaimed New Mexican four-piece the Shins have been scheduled as the opening act for a handful of the shows.

Modest Mouse's most recent album, 2000's The Moon & Antarctica, was the band's first release on Epic Records, and charted at #3 on Pitchfork's list of the Top 20 Albums of 2000. As a follow-up, K Records released the remarkably uneven Sad Sappy Sucker, a compilation of early, vaulted Modest Mouse recordings, in April 2001. While the band has kept quiet about any future albums, frontman Isaac Brock's long-awaited Ugly Casanova solo effort is finally being slated for release this fall on Sub Pop.
