To Rococo Rot and Marumari Prepare for Tour

The bands, not the Pokémons

Though To Rococo Rot's domestic label, Mute, and European label, City Slang, may make no mention of it, the band's blend of acoustic instrumentation and electronic syncopation/integration will be finding its way to North America in mid-September. For band genealogists keeping track at home, To Rococo Rot is one of three interconnected German post-rock electronica outfits, the other two being Tarwater and Kreidler.

The opening act for the entire tour will be experimental electronicist Marumari, who just released their fifth album, Supermogadon, on Carpark. To Rococo Rot's most recent release was their collaboration with I-Sound, Music is a Hungry Ghost. Here's the dates:

09-14 New York City, NY - Brownies
09-15 Boston, MA - Middle East
09-16 Montreal, ON - Spanish Social Center
09-17 Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
09-18 Detroit, MI - Magic Stick

09-21 Minneapolis, MN - 400 Bar
