Death Cab for Cutie Do Good Deed, Tour

With do-gooders like these, who needs Pedro the Lion?
Thank god for good people. In this case, mad praise and kudos to Washington's Death Cab for Cutie who, along with other local acts, will play a benefit show in Seattle on September 22nd in support of the victims of last week's terrorist attacks. This show will be the first in an extensive tour of the good ol' US of A, as the boys are playing out in support of their forthcoming release, The Photo Album. Unfortunately, Spaniards everywhere (well, particularly the ones in Spain) mourned, as DCFC was forced to cancel their Spanish tour dates in light of recent events.

The Photo Album is the band's first full-length release since last year's We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes, and the first release of any sort since the Forbidden Love EP. Barsuk plans to release a limited edition copy of the new album, which will include a bonus disc with three extra tracks, available only through Barsuk's website and at Death Cab shows. Don't log on just yet, though-- they won't be available until September 29th. I hate take-backs.

All upcoming shows will feature Death Cab labelmates, the Prom, as the opening band, and selected shows will also feature such instrument-whackers as the Swords Project, Shiner, and Trembling Blue Stars.
