Boilermaker Heads Out on Tour with Pinback

Semester's courseload at Purdue consists primarily of guts

San Diego emo pioneers Boilermaker are set to take their act on the road this October, touring in support of their new full-length, Leucadia. The band will play a number of dates with fellow San Diego act Pinback later in the fall.

Boilermaker has been at it since the early 90s, releasing their debut album, Watercourse, on Goldenrod in 1995. Leucadia, freshly released on Better Looking Records, is largely a compilation of the band's earlier work, but includes two new songs to placate fans thirsty for a fresh slug. According to drummer Timothy Semple, "We began discussing the prospects of re-releasing our work, and starting anew. No reunion, no hoopla, no bullshit... just a simple rekindled desire." That's the spirit, champ.
