Spiritualized to Tour U.S. with Lineup of 17

"Dude, you're stepping on my effects pedals!!"
In celebration of their first new studio album in over four years, Spiritualized have announced that they'll make their way back across the ocean in late October for a 17-date tour of the United States. The cross-country rockathon will begin in Washington, D.C. and end in Dallas, Texas, winding them up and down this crazy land. Most dates have the band scheduled in large-staged venues to accommodate the touring line-up of 17 musicians. Seventeen! What's Godspeed have to say to that?

Spiritualized's latest, Let It Come Down, was released last Tuesday and boasts the theatric bombast of a 90-piece ensemble including a line-up of gospel singers and orchestra even Metallica can't scoff at. (Yes, even Metallica!) The 11-song album was written entirely by frontman Jason Pierce, and recorded after Pierce's liquidation of those three guys that have given life to the three headed horror known as Lupine Howl.
