Björk Embraces Nudity in Racy New Video

Sindri permanently scarred
For years, men have pined for just a glimpse-- a single glimpse-- of Björk in the flesh. That time, friends, has finally arrived. Björk has cut a second video for Vespertine, for the song "Pagan Poetry" (also derogatorily referred to as "The 'I Love Him' Song" in some circles). The video, directed by renowned British photographer Nick Knight, explores the nature of carnal pleasure and intimate pain. That's right: sex.

n A mélange of computer manipulations, amateur-style filming, and glam camera finds Björk naked with breasts fully exposed. Throughout the film, animations and negative space suggest (very clearly) two people engaged in flagrante delicto of every sort. A recurring theme is heavily pierced flesh, with the eventual inclusion of the piercings in a revealing but beautiful dress designed by Alexander McQueen.

n The video has seen some rotation in Europe, where it is being treated to censor bars and editing. The full, uncut version will be released on DVD just after the double-single's UK release on November 5th. But for all you lucky perverts that can't stand the wait, Showstudio.com is already providing a downloadable version of the video on their website.
