They Might Be Giants Plan Holiday Release

In contrast, birth of Christ seems only a footnote
Those loveable losers, They Might Be Giants, are festive as hell. On November 6th, Restless Records will release Holidayland, a five-song EP just in time for Christm... er, Thanksgiving, actually. The CD will include holiday-related tracks as recorded by TMBG throughout their illlustrious career, including a German rendition of "O Tannenbaum" (that's "O, Christmas Tree" for you non-German speakers), and the Chanukkah-related "Feast of Lights." The highlight of the EP is the rocked-out cover of 60's punk legends the Sonics' classic "Santa Claus." We guess it's true: a tree really does grow in Brooklyn. Ho-ho-ho!
