Songs: Ohia, Shannon Wright on Tour

Market on slowcore folk cornered by Canadians

Jason Molina, the slow-core king of melancholy folk better known as Songs: Ohia, will be launching a west coast tour this November with Shannon Wright. The tour's in support of a split CD that the two will be putting out on Jade Tree in 2002. Mr. Molina will also be releasing a 7" in the first part of the new year featuring two outtakes from his forthcoming full-length, Didn't It Rain, which won't be released until March. A scrappy contender for the "Hardest Working Man in Showbiz" title, he also has a split 7" with Scout Niblett out, featuring a stripped down version of "Lioness," and Absalom Recordings will be releasing his Howler EP as part of its subscription-based 5" CD series. That's a lot of stuff going on. My life is productive too, though. Today I shampooed my slippers.
