Miles Tilmann Christmas LP Ready for Download

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas LP cued up in Hades

Boards of Canada electronician Miles Tilmann, who released his debut Underland EP in May of this year on Sub:Marine Records to a positive Pitchfork review, has an early holiday gift for interested listeners. XmasEP2, a collection of new seasonal compositions, is available for nil (save goodwill and smiles), given the requisite technology, at the Sub:Marine website. Tilmann sent the first XmasEP to family and friends in 2000, but has apparently made a few more friends in the intervening year and aims to share his good tidings with the online music snob community.

A limited edition CD version of XmasEP2 was available for sale at Sub:Marine, stuffed with various goo-gas including XmasEP and outtakes from both sessions, along with hand-rendered original sketches adorning the packaging, in a Peter Max, QVC manuever. Apparently a meticulous artist, only ten such sets were made available, and as of press time, they were completely sold out. There's always next year.
