Pretty Girls Make Graves Sign to Matador, Tour

Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge continues hiatus

They're young, they're angry, they're grazy, and they're comin' to a town near you. That's right, young lovers: Come March 7th, Pretty Girls Make Graves will be blazin' through the USofA, on a smokin' list of dates that kicks off in Portland, Oregan and ends up back in Seattle, Washington 22 days later with one big trail of dust. Electropunks Hint Hint and buzz-buzz-buzz-band Cobra High will be joining the band on the road. Tourdates:

03-07 Portland, OR - Nocturnal
03-08 San Francisco, CA - Bottom of the Hill
03-09 Anaheim, CA - Chain Reaction
03-11 Tempe, AZ - Big Fish Pub
03-12 El Paso, TX - Club 101

Luckily for the listening and showgoing public, Pretty Girls have been holed up writing a bit of new material, so a smattering of new songs can be expected during the March-long tour. "We have been working on new songs, and have about eight so far," an announcement at the band's official website states. "It looks like we will be recording our new record with Phil Ek in April. It will be coming out on Matador Records in September." Ek was behind the helm for the Pitchfork fave Good Health in 2002, as well as virtually every other big-name indie record not produced by Bob Weston, Steve Albini or J. Robbins.
