Cursive to Reveal Ugly Organ on Spring Tour
Omaha, Nebraska's Cursive have announced plans to take their beer/tear-fueled rock show on the road this
spring. Coming so closely on the heels of their just-completed winter tour that if you take the time to
Febreze the smoke out of your cardigan after the last one, you'll completely miss the traditional hiatus
period before this brand new emo-hued outing gets underway. Kickin' off in their stomping ground of Omaha
and ending up a month and a half later in Dallas, the 36-date tour will find Cursive supporting their new
full-length, The Ugly Organ, due out March 3rd on Saddle Creek.
According to the 'Creek site, the new album "stands not only as Cursive's most commanding performance to
date: It is one of the most uncompromising and exciting pieces of music you're likely to hear in 2003."
Among the scheduled openers on the tour are openers are San Diego quartet No Knife, Virginian prettyboys
Engine Down, slippery math nerds Minus the Bear, No Idea toughguys Small Brown Bike, and those textural
soundscapists The Appleseed Cast. That's right, John Q. Scenester: This is one you won't soon forget.
