Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Release Debut LP, Tour
Like a boozy, floozy debutante who's been knocked up before she's even been
introduced, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs continue to behave as though they were a
real band despite not ever having released any real albums: The band has
announced that they'll take to the road for a North American tour in April
and May, on which they'll be pushing copies of their debut full-length,
Fever to Tell. Apparently a proper release for the completed album,
their first for major label Interscope Records, has been delayed until April
29th, due to "record company stuff."
Despite the, uh, lukewarm reception of the band's second EP Machine ("It's
a fucking joke," says our very own Eric Carr), they still have at least one
devoted fan, the webmaster of the more-informative-than-the-official-site
fansite, Bang! Apparently, guitarist Nick Zinner tips this hound off more
often than he updates his own site, so it's due to Bang! that we can pass
along the seemingly trustworthy (though possibly utterly fabricated, who
knows) info that the album's first single will be "A Date with a Night", out
April 14th, and that the Fever to Tell tracklist looks like this:
01 Rich
02 A Date with a Night
03 Man
04 Tick
05 Black Tongue
06 Pin
07 Cold Light
08 No No No
09 Maps
