Superdrag Hit the Road for 18-Date U.S. Tour

Who brought down the ceeeeillll-aaaaaannnnnn???

Knoxville, Tennessee's fuzz-pop homeboys Superdrag are on tour again this spring, in support of last summer's Last Call for Vitriol. They'll be hitting the road as co-headliners with Ozma (no relation to Osama, sorry), whom this writer knows next to nothing about-- and apparently, neither does Superdrag! As the band's fearless leader, John Davis, told Pitchfork, they've seen "quite a few kids at shows wearing their t-shirts." So, that and the fact that it's the name of a Melvins record works for us. Superdrag will be spiraling around the country for the remainder of March and the better part of April. Dates:

03-23 Oklahoma City, OK - Green Door w/ Bristol Park & Someday
03-24 Albuquerque, NM - Launchpad w/ Mistletoe

So what will the coming year bring for the Superdrag gang? As far as touring is concerned, things are winding down and they're ready to take a much needed break, if a brief one. Davis tells us that 2003 is shaping up to be a pretty busy year: "We'll probably end up taking some time off from touring before too long. This year marks our 10th anniversary of being together as a band, and we've got a couple of projects in the works that will sort of commemorate that, I guess. Strictly for the fans." He also told us that guitarist Mike Harrison is working on a new solo record, and that he also has similar aspirations.
