Nobukazu Takemura to Release Two Albums, Tour

Hastily signed by Japanese-crazy Yankees during New York stop

Riding the wave of his latest release, 10th, Thrill Jockey experimental electronic fixture Nobukazu Takemura will be slicing, dicing and vocoding his Osaka-born bootay from right coast to left come the first week of April. Takemura, who will be kicking off the not-super-extensive tour in New York City on the 3rd and closing it out in L.A. on the 11th, is also preparing to release two new albums in April: Assembler/Assembler 2 will be issued by Thrill Jockey next Tuesday, with seven tracks running just over an hour; Songbook, due out April 22nd on Brooklyn, NY's Bubble Core Records, will, according to that label's website, "feature a full band, with gorgeous & playful vocals" and is "a drastic departure from his recent experimental works."
