Call it cross-pollination or call it a rockfest, San Francisco style. It seems that those two darlings of West Coast neo-psych rock (Jesus and Mary Chain, anyone?), The Stratford 4 and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, or S4 and BRMC for the acronymically inclined, are teaming up for the fall leg of a ten-date tour. Will Chris Streng join his former mates in BRMC for a sing-along? Not bloody likely, but doubtless I'm not the only one waiting with bated breath. The forces are aligning in support of BRMC's Take Them On, On Your Own, their subtle rejoinder to Dubya's call to "Bring it on." The record is due in stores today; check the dates starting later this month:
