After a long wait, lame and record player-deprived fans of dance-punk will soon be able to get their hands on some of the movement's best singles. On September 30th, New York label DFA will release a tasty compilation of A-sides from the roster of their past year's twelve-inch single series.

Included in the comp are shit-hot cuts from the Rapture and LCD Soundsystem: "House of Jealous Lovers" and the hilarious/informative/poignant/badass "Losing My Edge," respectively. The comp is not without its extras, however. Also included are Black Dice's brand new "Cone Toaster" and LCD Soundsystem's import-only "Give It Up." The disc should tide fans over until the October 14th U.S. CD release of The Rapture's Echoes, which is seriously going to end the world. The compilation trizzacklist:

01 The Juan Maclean: "By The Time I Get To Venus"
02 LCD Soundsystem: "Give It Up"
03 The Rapture: "House of Jealous Lovers"
04 Black Dice: "Cone Toaster"
05 The Juan Maclean: "You Can't Have It Both Ways"
06 The Rapture: "Silent Morning"
07 LCD Soundsystem: "Losing My Edge"
08 Black Dice: "Endless Happiness"

In other DFA-related news, James Murphy (a.k.a. LCD Soundsystem) has just completed shooting a video for "Losing My Edge." The video, which was directed by Warren and Karen Fisher, will be available on the DFA website within the next few weeks. Let's hope it's as fucking awesome as the "House of Jealous Lovers" video. Murphy has also just completed work on a new single, entitled "Yeah," which will be dropping before the end of the year. He'll be playing a live date come October alongside Casiotone For The Painfully Alone:
