Grandaddy Re-Record Next Single
Will Oldham, Jason Lytle, Jim James sign to new reality series, "The Amazing Beard Race"

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of 2003 weren't the albums that made the list, but the ones that didn't. Staff favorites including Out Hud, Fog, The New Pornographers, Xiu Xiu, Super Furry Animals and Grandaddy fell short of the top 50 spots. And yet they push on!

Grandaddy have re-recorded one of Sumday's highlights, "I'm On Standby," for a double A-side release with "Stray Dog and the Chocolate Shake," the band's next UK single due January 12th. In addition to an actual double A-side seven-incher, the single will also be available on an enhanced CD with a previously unreleased cut and a video for "Fare Thee Not Well Mutineer." Tracklist:
