Hot off a brief Canadian spectacular with Hot Hot Heat, the animals with silk for manes and ivory for horns will be galloping triumphantly to a town near you (or at least that's the plan). The Unicorns, currently wrapping up a short recording session, will be galloping southward to support 2003's full length Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?; scenesters everywhere plan on donning paper maché horns for the momentous first U.S. tour. Unfortunately, West Coast scenesters will have to wait; the 'Corns just won't be hitting up that side o' the land. The animals that Noah forgot will be warming hearts and enlightening minds in the following cities:

During the recent cold snap, the 'Corns have been hunkered down in the studio, completing two new tracks. The songs, entitled "20:14" and "Emasculate the Masculine," are planned for a seven-inch on Suicide Squeeze Records, tentatively set for a March 20th release date. Maybe I'm reading too far into those titles, but it seems as if the Unicorns are subtly jabbing at Julian Casablancas-- setting out to emasculate his manhood while simultaneously claiming that they are 7:23 better than the Strokes. Then again, I'm on mescaline.
