Cursive Tour Europe, Plan B-Sides Compilation For Fall
Organ considered much more attractive overseas

Should you be inclined to investigate, I believe you will find that there are only so many ways to poke fun at a band that, for whatever reason, can't seem to find their way back into the studio due to the rigors of an endless touring schedule-- see our recent reports on Interlopes activity for proof. So it is with trepidation that I approach this umpteenth announcement of-- yes, it's true-- more Cursive tour dates. Of course, in this case, it has been a scant 11 months since The Ugly Organ was released (though it certainly seems like longer; hell, we invaded a country and caught us a despot in the meantime), so we can probably cut them some slack. This time around they're rocking the Organ in Europe, but I think we both know they'll be back to the states for another go. The dates:

02-20 London, England - Astoria *
02-22 Bristol, England - Academy *
02-23 Nottingham, England - Rock City *
02-24 Leeds, England - University *
02-25 Amsterdam, Holland - Paradiso Small Hall
02-26 Groningen, Netherlands - Vera
02-27 Cologne, Germany - Gebaude 9
02-28 Hamburg, Germany - Molotow
02-29 Berlin, Germany - Magnet
03-01 Frankfurt , Germany - Cookys
03-02 Munster, Germany - Gleis 22
03-03 Brussels, Belgium - La Botanique

* with The Ataris and Planes Mistaken for Stars

Ok, I'm a tease-- they are touring in the U.S. this year, and I knew it all along. Cursive will hit the bars and clubs of America this April to June with Mike Park and others, to be announced, on the Plea for Peace tour. However, with eerily similar goals to perennial juggernaut Rock the Vote, where will the kids turn for their motivational political voting registration needs and ideals? Does Rock the Vote even believe in Peace? Does Plea for Peace believe in Rocking? The answers, more artists, and the actual dates are coming soon, and we'll be sure to keep you informed. Cursive also plan to release a b-sides compilation this fall, and their next full-length should be out sometime in 2005.
