Band okay despite almost getting run down by Dub Narcotic Sound System

Ray Suzuki and Eric Marth report:
Oh man, oh man. Oh! Man! That's the sound of an excited Deerhoof fan who's just heard about their upcoming West Coast tour. Oh shit, oh shit. Oh! Shit! That's the sound of a disappointed Deerhoof fan / Pitchfork staffer sipping a warm Fanta in our Chicago office who's just heard the same news. Deerhoof are preparing to launch a short tour of the Western U.S. seaboard. This hot art-rock ensemble has been trail blazing all over the place, what with past incredible live performances and a steady slew of excellent records. Deerhoof have placed highly among our Top 50 Albums lists for the past two years with 2002's Reveille and last year's Apple O'. And it seems their latest opus, Milk Man, is set to drop March 9th on Kill Rock Stars (All Tomorrow's Parties Records in the UK, P-Vine in Japan, and Rob Fisk's label, Free Porcupine Society, for domestic vinyl). Wowey wow wow! Tour dates:

02-23 Eureka, CA - Sapphire Rose
02-24 Olympia, WA - Eagle's Hall
02-25 Bellingham, WA - 1311 I Street
02-26 Seattle, WA - Chop Suey
02-27 Portland, OR - Meow Meow
02-28 Eugene, OR - W.O.W. Hall
