Oneida Ready New Album, Tour Europe
Hope to meet Evan Dando at K-RAA-K festival

Equal parts booming and hypnotic, Brooklyn based Oneida are the rare band that places duplicate emphasis on both halves of the drone-rock designation. Their sound is thick, loud, and almost impenetrable, paying nod to heavy psych progenitors like Black Sabbath while maintaining a sound distinctly their own. The band recently released their sixth full-length recording, Secret Wars, on Jagjaguwar, and are soon to embark on a meaty European tour in support of the record.

The band has also reportedly composed the soundtrack for Speedo, a documentary about New Jersey and Long Island demolition derbies. Speedo can be seen at this year's SXSW festival, and around most public swimming facilities in Italy.

Finally, though Oneida were reported to be recording a split single with the Constantines back in August, nothing has been heard of that venture since the Constantines' drummer suffered injuries during the recording process. However, the Constantines are to be joining Oneida on a handful of the following dates; according to the band's blog, more dates may be confirmed in the weeks to come. Tour schedule thus far:
