Destroyer Tracklist Unveiled at Tracklist Unveiling
I wonder if he puts "pornographer" or "destroyer" on his tax return?

[Updated Friday, January 30th, 2004 02:00:00 Pitchfork Central Time]

Dan Bejar spends equal time as a guitarist and songwriter in the New Pornographers and as Destroyer in Matt LeMay's Discman. While most are familiar with the New Pornographers' incredible pop stylinz, fewer are down with the decimation tactics of Destroyer. With 1998's City of Daughters Bejar placed #89 on our Top 100 Records of the 1990's: REDUXXXX. And his more recent albums, including 2001's Streethawk: A Seduction, have been just as jawsome. Mr. Bejar has just completed work on his next long-player, Your Blues, set for a March 9th release on Merge Records. Peep you a tracklist:

01 Notorious Lightning
02 It's Gonna Take An Airplane
03 An Actor's Revenge
04 The Music Lovers
05 From Oakland To Warsaw
06 Your Blues
07 New Ways of Living
08 Don't Become The Thing You Hated
09 Mad Foxes
10 The Fox And The Hound
11 What Road
12 Certain Things You Ought To Know

Martin Hill of Merge recently told Pitchfork that Destroyer are planning a U.S. tour for the spring, which should span from, oh, say, April 23rd to June 3rd. The tour will cover cities in the U.S. and Canada, with all four members of Frog Eyes acting as Mr. Bejar's backing band. More news as this story develops.
