Spiritualized® Offer Limited-Edition Single Via Website
Autographed copies of this news article only five bucks a pop

Beginning February 16th, Spiritualized will be offering a special one-track CD single of the song "Cheapster," from their most recent album, Amazing Grace. The single will be available through their website, and will retail at 99p (just under two bucks American, if my calculations are correct), including postage. Not too shabby. So, why would you want to pay two bucks for a single of a song you've already got on the full length? Because you're a collector nerd, obviously.

The truth is that although it is only one song, it's still a pretty special item for fans. The single is limited to 500 copies, and each one is not only individually numbered, but has a customized hand drawing by Jason Pierce himself on the cover. Once they're gone, they're gone, kids, and at a run of 500, there's not much time for dilly-dallying.

In other news, Spiritualized's The Complete Works Vol. 2 was released in January, containing 24 hard-to-find tracks. Spanning from 1995-2002, the set begins with three tracks from the "Let It Flow" single that predates the band's 1995 LP Pure Phase, and ends with three tracks recorded by an enlarged version of the band that featured a five-piece brass section. The year's young, and it's expected that Spiritualized will be taking their show on the road at various points throughout the year, but right now you're out of luck unless you live in the UK. Dates:
