They are humble men of means, the men of !!!. All they really want is for you to shake your booty, and is that so much to ask? I thought not. In deference to this manifesto, !!! have kept busy this winter, finishing up their second album for Touch and Go, planning a tour, and presumably, shaking their own asses (even if only to keep warm). Pitchfork spoke to !!! guitarist Mario Andreoni via e-mail, and got some details about the upcoming record.

Mario says: "[The] release date is supposed to be first or second Tuesday in June-- Maurice Fulton (Mu, Playgroup, Jimi Tenor) has done some mixes for us. We're still not 100% sure on which ones we'll use from him... but they all slam. The rest we mixed ourselves." The album may be out a bit earlier in Europe and Japan, for you import fans and completists (and Europeans and Japanese people), and though the album sequence and title are still up in the air (a previous working title was Looking Down on Heaven), Andreoni was kind enough to provide us with a temporary tracklist:

There are also plans to release a white-label twelve-inch in April, but the track for that still has not been chosen. Finally, tour plans are currently developing-- there should be a number of U.S. dates in June, followed by a festival tour in Europe in July. There are a few upcoming dates already announced, so hopefully you live in one of the following cities, don't mind a drive, or are patient enough to wait till June. You can always just put on a !!! record if you really need to shake your ass, dude! The dates:
