New CD From Sparta In June
In a Peloponnesian mood

At the Drive-In fans: still upset about the breakup? We know your pain. Hell, we're still sobbing tears of unutterable fury over the loss of the Dismemberment Plan (and let me tell you, those solo MP3's on Travis Morrison's site aren't helping much). We understand your heartbreak over the utter, utter letdown that was The Mars Volta and (shudder) De Facto. Your worn-down copy of Sparta's Wiretap Scars is the only thing that can soothe the grief.

Well, that's all about to change. Sparta recently announced through an e-mail to their mailing list that their new LP, entitled Porcelain, will be released come June. Unfortunately, we don't have a tracklist for you, but make up some wacky-ass names and you probably won't be far off. Like "Xaya." Or "Monochrome Spiders." Or something.

The band has a number of upcoming tour dates, including appearances at the SXSW and Coachella festivals. You know we know 'em:

And, for some reason, the band has changed their logo to a swan. Beats the fuck out of me.
