The Natural History to Tour, Prepare New Album
"Biological changes over time" inevitably lead to group bathroom break

Ah, the Brothers Tepper; our generation's heirs apparent to the inimitable Smothers Brothers. Except they don't do yo-yo tricks. Or have a variety show. They just play taut, minimal, yet soulful rock and roll music. I guess they really aren't like the Smothers Brothers at all. And so the search continues.

According to their official website, The Natural History are working on a new record, to be released by Star Time in September. Joe Chiccarelli (Frank Zappa, Rufus Wainwright) has been tapped to produce the record. Seriously, they pinned him down, then had Derek Vockens use his drummers' stamina and rhythm to tap the producer on the forehead with his index finger, saying "Produce our record! Produce our record!" with each tap. After upwards of five hours of the "Tepper Tapper Torture," Chiccarelli acquiesced. The band avers that many of the new tunes are upwards of two minutes long, in contrast to the many fleeting minute-and-a-half jams of their last full-length, Beat. Beat. Heartbeat. The Natural History will be fine-tuning the new material on the road this spring; grab a map and draw the dotted line:
