New Slicker LP Due in April on Hefty Records
But dude still needs a serious-ass haircut

Slicker, the alter ego of Hefty Records head honcho John Hughes III, will be releasing his new album on April 20th. We All Have a Plan will contain plenty of the glitch-laden, post-rockin' electronica fans have come to expect, and, according to the label, is said to combine "hip-hop, jazz, soul, powerhouse production, transcontinental sensibilities, and organic instrumentation into one of the most innovative electronic records to be released this year." Smashing!

The disc boasts several guest musicians of note. Among them: Detroit jazz champions Phil Ranelin and Wendell Harrison, hip-hop trio Slum Village, MC Elzhi, and Lindsay Anderson from the Chicago experimental quartet L'altra. Keep an ear on college radio this spring for the first single from the record, "Knock Me Down Girl". The single will hit stores two weeks before the full-length with remixes by Telefon Tel Aviv and Spanova.
