If you want to see some rockin' live music sometime soon, well, there's definitely One Beat you better be checking out this spring! Yeah, buddy, I'm talkin' Sleater-Kinney. Those rock 'n' roll gals are gearing up for a 17-date Spring tour, which kicks off in Baltimore at the Recher Theater on April 21st, and takes them straight through May, when they'll wind up back in Washington for their performance at The Gorge's annual Sasquatch Festival. The April dates have Sleater-Kinney playing the East Coast with The Thermals opening, while the May dates will see them sticking mainly to California, with the exception of one Oregon date, and the aforementioned Sasquatch Fest. Quasi-- who Janet L. Weiss, of couse, drums for-- will support on the West Coast dates.

"Only seventeen dates?" you may be asking yourselves. "But I don't live on either coast! Sleater-Kinney, why have y'all forsaken me?" Well, they've got a fine answer: Apparently, the gals are itching to get started on their new album. So says their official website, "Why are the tours so brief? Because we are writing songs and getting ready to record. More extensive U.S. and overseas tours will commence once the new album is out. Sorry if we won't be in your city this time around." Don't feel bummed. Given the touring they did after the release of One Beat (with Pearl Jam, even), you can't say they didn't give you a chance.
