(Smog) Floats Across U.S.
When asked for comment, EPA all like "whatever"

Drag City all-star Bill "(Schmog)" Callahan recently revealed he'd be heading out on a tour of the United States, in further support of his 2003 release, Supper. There aren't many dates to report, but let it not be said that his tour itinerary doesn't reflect the sparseness of his records. He kicked it all off Wednesday night with a show at Walter's in Houston, played another last night at New Orleans' Mermaid Lounge, and tonight will arrive at The Nick in Birmingham, Alabama with Cutgrass, a side project of Verbena member Daniel Johnston (not to be confused with the legendarily loopy indie rocker of the same name). In tow for the first half of the tour will be recent Drag City signee Joanna Newsom, who Will Oldham has cited as being among his favorite storytellers. Newsom's new album, The Milk-Eyed Mender, was released March 23rd. Dates:
