Mission of Burma to Play Select Dates in May
But apparently haven't left East Coast since 1982

Mission of Burma has revealed that, mere days after the Matador release of ONoffON, the band's highly anticipated first album in more than 20 years, they'll be playing a small handful of dates in the eastern United States. If you're in the Columbia, Missouri area, be sure to check them out at the University of Missouri station KCOU's annual Springfest. It's free, even if you're not a college student! And if you're not, perhaps you should start thinking about doing something with your life. As a crazy motherfucker with a Benz and a backpack recently observed, there ain't no loans for sittin' your ass at home.

05-07 Columbia, MO - University of Missouri Springfest Stage
05-14 Philadelphia, PA - Theatre of the Living Arts
05-15 Washington, D.C. - 9:30 Club
05-22 Boston, MA - Avalon

Hopefully, this will open the door for a more comprehensive and ambitious tour, as all accounts of the band's recent UK performances have been overwhelmingly positive. Between blowing peoples' minds at All Tomorrow's Parties UK and London's Institute of Contemporary Art, the band managed to find time to record radio sessions for BBC 6Music and XFM. Will these recordings be released? Check your local slsk listings for details.
