With their keyboards packed and blues sensibilities holding strong, Red Red Meat's extraordinary afterbirth, Califone (okay, even we admit we could have come up with something more flattering than that), will hit the road for a bi-coastal tour this spring in promotion of their seventh album, Heron King Blues. With two acclaimed full-lengths to their name through Thrill Jockey (after last year's electric/acoustic hybrid Quicksand/Cradlesnakes) and a six-year career that's spawned many musical gems, Califone have grown in scope and ambition to become an indie rock household name for previously skeptical music fans.
