Saturday Looks Good to Me Tours the May Away

Michigan's Saturday Looks Good to Me is hitting the road for a brief tour during the second half of May. The festive pop band, who released All Your Summer Songs last year to widespread praise and acclaim, will be bringing along Ypsilanti Records' NOMO, a unique afro-beat inspired indie rock band that features several SLGtM members, including frontman and Ypsilanti owner Fred Thomas. Although Saturday Looks Good to Me will not be selling any new releases at these shows, there are reportedly a few of last year's seven-inches left, so be prepared to shell out the dough.

The most exciting aspect of the tour is that, in addition to playing the opening set, NOMO will be backing Saturday, essentially expanding the band to a staggering 11 members. This collaboration offers fans a rare chance to hear the band's catalogue performed in a truly lush and extravagant fashion. According to band representative, the tour will find the band "able to reproduce almost everything they do on record into a live performance." The tour will also give fans a chance to watch eleven people try to fit on small club stages without getting in each other's way, stumbling over errant guitar cords, and poking anyone's eye out.
