Bonnie Billy Gets Intimate on Small Venue Tour
Characteristically nomadic and stunningly prolific, the undisputed champion of the beardfolk phenomenon is
taking his act on the road yet again. I speak, of course, of woodsman Bonnie "Prince" Billy. And from
the looks of his itinerary, this outspoken advocate for facial growth and death by the riverside looks
to be specializing in coffeeshops and small bars on this southern U.S. venture.
One location of note is the Orange Twin Conservation Community in Athens, GA. Owned by members of Elf Power,
Circulatory System, The Gerbils, and other Orange Twin affiliates, the conservation spans 100 acres of
woodland, five miles removed from the downtown Athens area. According to the Orange Twin website: "We
wish to live with each other and with all other forms of life, plant and animal, in a way that is respectful,
considerate, and open to growth... We want to create an integrated community in which the residents can
live, work and pursue their interests. We hope our community can serve as a model of sustainable living,
using viable solutions that do not further harm, but rather help to heal the earth."
This concert will be a day-long event, complete with a horseshoe tournament and a designated dinner break.
Guests are encouraged to bring a swimsuit and hiking shoes, but absolutely no high heels will be admitted.
I kinda wish this place was located in New England, but then, I'm a sucker for independently rocking organic
community gardens spanning five to ten acres of forest. Tour dates:
