Blonde Redhead Ready New Single, Video

4AD will be releasing the second single from the paradoxically named Blonde Redhead's recent LP, Misery Is a Butterfly, on May 24th. The single, which showcases the track "Equus", will be available via CD, seven-inch, and, to cater to the Internet-savvy youngsters out there, digital download. If you want the bonus "hipper-than-thou" indie-cred, though, you'd better go for the seven-inch, 'cause chicks and guys with snug pants enjoy watching the 45s spin. But wait! Those of you able to overcome your vanity will be awarded with a bonus of a totally different nature: Collision Films' Chris Hopewell, whom you might know from his videos for Radiohead's "There There" and Franz Ferdinand's "Matinee", directed a "haunting stop-frame animation video" for "Equus", available exclusively on the CD single. Apparently, they can't digitize these things onto vinyl yet. Ahh, but once you consider the fact that you can watch the video right now on 4AD's website... Fuck it, I quit.
