The Naysayer Ready Next Album for Release
For all those about to be in favor, we salute you

Country-tinged indie-rockers The Naysayer are gearing up to release their third full-length tomorrow. Kitten Time, which will mark the band's first release away from Chicago-based Carrot Top Records and their debut for Red Panda, finds frontwoman and primary creative force Anna Padgett moving away from the more sparse and quiet sound on the band's earlier records towards "songs that are as rollicking as they are harsh." Which doesn't say that much, really, but we work with what we got. And we do have this: A number of high-profile guest musicians have contributed to Kitten Time, among them members of His Name Is Alive, Fuck, Ida, and Mascot.

As could be expected, a full-scale tour is in the works for the band, but for now, only those on a few very select little plots of land out on the West Coast will get the chance to see the group. If these shows are any indication, however, many of the musicians who guest on the album just might be making tour appearances. Dates:

06-17 Redding, CA - Serendipity
06-23 San Francisco, CA - Hemlock Tavern (featuring Kyle Statham from Fuck)
06-26 Portland, OR - Nocturnal (featuring Tara Jane O'Neil)
