The Unicorns: On the Road Again
Like a band of gypsies, they go down the highway

The Unicorns' debut album, Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?, has rightfully received reams of praise since its release last year. The core of its appeal (we think) lies in the dichotomy between the band's morbid humor and an uncanny ear for true pop bliss. Within this nucleus lies a portal to an inviting, vast universe, the universe of The Unicorns, teeming with tough ghosts, tragic accidents, parasites, and an unabashed friendship with death and dying.

Along with the endless echos of praise surrounding this fine album, their crazy live show deserves just notice. Part amateur stage antics, part cyclone energy and part sheer comic wit, The Unicorns frequently match the outrageousness of their recorded output on stage. Now, after spending most of the last, what, year or so on the road, these mythical creatures will return once again to the U.S. and Europe, sharing the stage (in this country) with germ-killer/plaque-slayer Ben Kweller.
