Ratatat Tour with The Killers, Drop Remix LP
Satan's Fingers, Hospital Bombers still just gigging around Denton

Life is full of rules, like don't shoot the messenger, don't put your foot on Superman's cape, and never ever feed them after midnight. But rules, as they say, were made to be pissed upon. And now, there's an extra-special ordinance just begging to be soaked in urine: Yes, friends, the age-old injunction against air-guitaring at post-rock shows will be strained, lo, unto the breaking point when Ratatat get all in your face later this month. After a week of shows in Texas and adjacent environs with The Killers, Ratatat will be rocking all the way up the West Coast and then right back down, hitting some of the same cities again on the return trip. L.A., you know they love you.

The band is touring in support of their recent self-titled and remarkably unclassifiable debut album, released this past April on XL Records. Check out any of the below dates, and let your "Desert Eagle" soar:

And, for a better look at the hip-hop pulse animating Ratatat's mad-scientist vision, happy parties can pick up Ratatat's new Remixes, Volume 1 mixtape, which they're said to be hawking on tour. More of a mashup romp than a conventional remix record, the disc features the music of Ratatat backing up durable hip-hop a cappellas by (to name a few) Ol' Dirty Bastard, Jay-Z, Method Man, Missy Elliott, Dizzee Rascal, and Kanye West. Two songs from the disc are currently available to download at the Audio Dregs label's website. Don't worry, gents, the RIAA ain't reading this; copyright cops are allergic to Jim Croce gags, and we apparently have that covered. Tracklist:

01 Brooklyn Zoo: Intro
02 Beanie Sigel & Dirt McGirt: When You Hear That
03 Missy Elliott: Hot
04 Raekwon: Smith Bros.
05 Kanye West: Get 'Em High
06 G-Unit: Stunt 101
07 Dizzee Rascal: Fix Up, Look Sharp
08 Method Man & Buddah Monk: Plo Style
