Crime in Choir Release Sophomore LP, Tour
LAPD books entire chorus, confiscates risers

Crime in Choir, which features among its bloated ranks founding members of At the Drive-In, as well as current members of Hella, The Advantage, and 31 Knots, is an indie-prog monolith, blending intense math-rock spaz-outs with dense, dreamy melodies. The band just released their second LP, entitled The Hoop, on the aptly named Frenetic Records, and is preparing to embark on a brief tour of the West Coast. Ah, who are we kidding? They're just gigging around Cali. But it's super nice there! The new album follows 2002's self-titled debut on Omnibus Records, and features 10 tracks ranging from new-wave to jazz-fusion. If this sounds like your idea of a good time, and you happen to be near or inside of the one state they're playing in, you may take note of the following scheduled performances:

08-25 San Francisco, CA - Cafe du Nord
08-26 Los Angeles, CA - The Silver Lake Lounge
08-27 Los Angeles, CA - The Smell
08-28 San Diego, CA - The Honey Bee Hive
08-29 Long Beach, CA - The Que Sera
