Hope of the States Tour... The States!

Is it odd that a band named Hope of the States are popular mainly in England? Not really, considering that their bandname's a self-proclaimed message of distaste against the good old U.S. of A. Nonetheless, they're headed over to these hedonistic shores for a 15-date U.S. tour this fall. Aside from a few recent shows at New York's Bowery Ballroom and the Los Angeles Troubadour, this nation's Hope has never set foot in the homeland, establishing this jaunt as the States' first true taste of HOTS (and may we say, what a fine acronym they have).

However, it hasn't been easy; the band's first U.S. touring schedule, which was scheduled to begin 19 days prior, was botched due to problems with their visas. However, now they've got it all ironed out, and the pleasure is all yours. Their live show, hailed for its energy and creative use of slide projectors, spans far across the continental landscape, touching both coasts during their short stay. Dates:

After forming in Chichester, England in the winter of 2000, nearly four full years passed before their debut release, The Lost Riots, hit shelves back in June via Sony. The second single from that album, "Nehemiah", was just released this week, on both CD and vinyl format. Like so:
