Shoplifting to Make Kill Rock Stars Debut, Tour

Kill Rock Stars will be releasing the debut EP from Seattle-based Shoplifting, which features ex-members of Chromatics, Spores and Soiled Doves. The EP, which will be released next month, follows a seven-inch released earlier this year and a self-released cassette that you probably didn't hear anyway. The band has been described as unpredictable post-punk with political leanings, and although they draw from each member's previous musical history, Shoplifting's sound is said to be unique, exciting, and compelling. We'll be sure to let you know whether that's bullshit, or just plain truth, when we get around to reviewing the disc sometime around its planned release date of September 14th. Tracklist:

Although Shoplifting have only been together for a short time, they've already played with many of their contemporaries, such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, Black Dice, Animal Collective and Melt-Banana.
