Mogwai to Release BBC Sessions Album

According to their official website, Mogwai, Scotland's only kickass guitar heroes with an alarming disparity in height between their two central members, are set to issue a collection of previously unreleased BBC sessions. Entitled Government Commissions: BBC Session 1996-2003, the album features selected recordings culled from the band's sessions with ubiquitous UK radio personality John Peel, as well as several tunes recorded for Steve Lamacq, presenter of the UK's most far-reaching indie radio show, Lamacq Live. And while most of the collection is comprised of in-the-studio efforts, the album's first and last tracks are live versions, originally transmitted across the British airwaves from Maida Vale. The album is currently set for release some time this fall via PIAS, and while we don't have a firm release date, we do have a tracklist:
